Assistant Chief Franconi joined Edgecliff Village Fire Department in 2007 and has since served as Firefighter, Apparatus Operator, Sergeant, Lieutenant and Captain before being Promoted to Assistant Fire Chief in 2011.
Currently, Chief Franconi holds certifications as a Basic Firefighter, Instructor I, and Training Coordinator through SFFMA. Asst. Chief Franconi is an active and contributing member of the Tarrant County Fire Chief's Association, International Association of Fire Chief's, International Association of Arson Invetigators, and the Texas State Fireman's and Fire Marshal's Association.
Asst. Chief Franconi also holds firefighter certifications in Washington, Oregon and California in various other areas of firefighting and fire prevention.
In addition to his service at Edgecliff, Asst. Chief Franconi has served a total of 23 years in The United States Navy achieving the rank of Senior Chief Petty Officer and retired honorably as such.
